The Harrogate International Youth Festival – Music & Performing Arts
The Harrogate International Youth Festival – Music & Performing Arts, offers groups and ensembles of young musicians and dancers the chance to perform in some of the UK’s most prestigious and historic venues. Ranging from the newly refurbished Royal Hall to unique outdoor venues such as the ruins of Fountains Abbey, we offer performance opportunities unlike any other.

Established in 1973, HIYF has a long and illustrious history of bringing together international young musicians and dancers to play and perform with the very best talent from the local area, ensuring that your ensemble is linked with international excellence and creativity. HIYF is now operated by Educational Cultural Exchanges (Int.) Ltd, a Queen’s Award winning specialist organiser of educational, cultural and special interest programmes.

Harrogate is proud to welcome many international groups year after year, with many residents attending all 5 major festival events – a true indication of the place HIYF holds in many people’s hearts. The town is delighted to host the festival in its fourth decade.
